LIFT Auto Repair Marketing vs. Element DMA
Both LIFT Auto Repair Marketing and Element DMA help repair shops get found through Google, turn website visits into calls, and build a stronger local reputation. When you're choosing between them, start with where your shop is losing work. Do customers disappear after their first visit? Or does your phone ring without bringing in enough jobs that fit your bays, technicians, and service mix?
LIFT publishes examples of shops using CRM, text messaging, and service reminders to bring customers back. At Element DMA, we use EGL AI to identify which incoming calls represent repair opportunities and use that information to improve Google Ads campaigns. Both workflows matter. The right starting point depends on which problem is costing your shop more. LIFT’s Rocky Mountain Diesel case study · How EGL AI works

How LIFT helps shops attract and retain customers
LIFT is worth a look if your team wants help with both getting found and bringing customers back for future service. In its Rocky Mountain Diesel & Auto Repair case study, LIFT describes improving the shop’s website and Google Business Profile, running Google Ads, and adding CRM and SMS follow-up. The reminders gave the shop a way to stay in touch after customers left the bay. Rocky Mountain Diesel case study
LIFT also shows how search strategy can help a shop pursue the work it wants. For Brock Automotive, it focused on import and European repair searches. LIFT reports that Brock earned $301,754 in January 2026, up 15.2% year over year, while servicing slightly fewer vehicles. That figure represents the shop’s total monthly revenue. The public case study describes several marketing changes and does not isolate the share of revenue attributable to SEO. Brock Automotive case study
LIFT also advertises territorial exclusivity for its full marketing services. If that matters to you, ask which ZIP codes, services, and competing shops the agreement covers. The public description does not specify a radius. LIFT’s exclusivity policy
How Element DMA measures the calls your marketing brings in
Suppose two campaigns each generate 50 calls. One brings in drivers asking for the repair work you want to book. The other brings in drivers outside your service area or asking for work you don't perform. If both campaigns are judged by cost per call, you could put more money into the campaign that generates fewer viable jobs.
EGL AI links incoming calls to their marketing source and scores eligible first-time calls based on what the customer and shop actually say. For example, a call can qualify when the customer has a genuine repair need and the shop confirms it can handle the work. Element DMA sends qualified-call conversion data back to Google Ads so campaigns can optimize toward those opportunities. EGL Sales Coach separately evaluates how the shop handles the conversation, including whether it secures a clear next step when appropriate. EGL AI · Call scoring methodology
In our 2026 benchmark, we analyzed 21,699 calls from 10 U.S. automotive repair businesses. Of the 6,095 eligible first-time calls, EGL AI classified 3,198, or 52.5%, as qualified repair opportunities. That percentage describes the businesses and period in the study. It measures qualification, which is a step before a booked appointment or a completed repair order. Auto Shop Marketing Benchmarks 2026
How to compare the cost of both proposals
LIFT’s $1,597 per month figure comes from one client’s Ultimate package, which the case study describes as including SEO, CRM, and Google Ads support as needed. Element DMA’s $690 EGL Start figure is the published price for a different scope that lists Google Ads or LSA, website management, analytics, and EGL implementation. Ongoing SEO appears in higher-tier or standalone Element DMA plans. LIFT’s Brock package · Element DMA plans
Ask both providers to quote the same scope. Separate the monthly management fee, setup or website costs, and the amount that goes to Google. If CRM or SMS is important, ask what’s included and how usage is billed. Also confirm who controls the website, domain, ad account, and tracking numbers, and what you can take with you if the relationship ends.
Which agency fits your shop?
Talk to LIFT if you want one team to handle local visibility and marketing to existing customers. Ask to see a real service-reminder workflow and how the team measures return visits.
Talk to Element DMA if you invest in Google Ads or plan to and want to know which campaigns bring in calls for the jobs your team wants. Ask to see how a call is scored, how it appears in reporting, and how it informs the next campaign decision.
If both problems apply, bring the same three numbers to each conversation: how many new-customer calls your shop received last month, how many became appointments, and how many customers returned for their next service. Even rough numbers can help each agency show what it would tackle first.
